Evan & Dylan Marineau

Twin Brothers

Style: Freeskiers

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Team: Canadian National Next Gen Team

Freestyle Skiers

From the time they could walk these two were skiing.  The twins learned and developed their love of skiing in the mountains of Fernie, BC. In the early years they did four disciplines of freestyle, moguls, big air, slopestyle, and halfpipe. Now they focus on Halfpipe skiing with the Canadian National NextGen Team, however, they both still compete in Slopestyle and Big Air.

Currently they both train at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Canada and travel all over the world. The lure of powder still brings them back to where it all began, Fernie, BC.  There they always manage to find some freshes and shred it with their friends!

Halfpipe & Slopestyle skier

Dylan loves to fly!  When he launches himself off a jump you can see how comfortable he is in the air.  He's well rounded in all disciplines and could still compete in moguls.  He always looks forward to just getting in the mountains and skiing...

When he's not skiing Dylan enjoys mountain bike riding, waterskiing, and competing in triathlons.

He had a great 2016-17 season with the development of his tricks. He was able to showcase this in competitions making most finals. Unfortunately in the finals he couldn't catch a break and would sometimes crash out.  That hurt his results. Even with that he moved up the AFP World rankings to 22 overall.

With Dylan's work ethic and resilience the National Team coaches selected him to the Canadian National NextGen team in 2017.

Evan

Halfpipe skier

Evan is a very aggressive skier that has fun on the slopes with everyone he skis with.  He has really found a home in the halfpipe but will go out and find an urban rail and slay it with his friends. He loves participating in all the disciplines

When he's not skiing he's on his skateboard, mountain biking or playing Ultimate

He had a turnaround season in 2015-16. It started in Norway at the Youth Olympic Games where he placed 7th.  After that he continued to get better and more confident with every competition.  He ended up 38th in World AFP rankings last year.

Freestyle Canada recognized this and promoted him onto the National Next Gen Team in 2016
